My OnE MoVe ChEss GaMe WiTh SaTaN

So Satan while I’m waiting for my coat to dry.  I’ll play you in one more game of chess and then I need a break.  You keep getting easier and easier to beat. Last night it only took me five moves and earlier on today three.

You can throw all the LUST you want at me.  I will show CHASTITY, because I love only one DARLin LADY and one DARLin LADY alone.

You can give me all the food in the world for GLUTTONY. I will  show TEMPERANCE and not eat before I feed all of the hungry.

You can give me all the money and GREED the world has ever known . I will donate it all to  CHARITYs to design clothes and build grand Cathedrals for all the poor and homeless.

You can try and make me a SLOTH. I will only speed up with DILIGENCE.

You can throw all the ANGER of the world at me. I will try and teach them all PATIENCE.

You can make me ENVY. But I will show KINDNESS  to those I do.

You can give me all the PRIDE a soul can suffer and I will gladly swallow it with HUMILITY.

ALL OF THIS I DO IN THE NAME OF THE WORD OUR GOD.

While DARLin’s  weep as they do now, I WILL FIGHT.

While lil KIDDOs  go hungry as they do now, I WILL FIGHT.

While innocent MEN go to prison, in and out , in and out, I WILL FIGHT .

While there is a poor lost GIRL, upon the streets in all and every hoodz, I WILL FIGHT.

While their remains one dark soul without the light of GOD, I WILL FIGHT.

I WILL FIGHT TO THE VERY END of ALLz HELLZ and BACK  TO SAVE ALL OF GODS SOULS.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dinner and a Movie Review
Beans & CornBread

A week ago I took my mother, who hasn’t been to a theater in 26 years, out for dinner and a movie.  We stopped by a trendy restaurant on Elm named “Z Food and Drink”,located across from Citizen’s Bank, right next to Teddy J’s.  “Z” didn’t look like much from the outside but as we entered the ambiance was delightfully yuppie retro chic.  An older gentleman in the far right corner of the room played classical music on a baby grand piano, and a friendly host dressed in red and black sat us promptly in the middle isle.  The table setting was playful and delicate. A mini etch-a-sketch sat in the middle of the table and the tableware was immaculately arranged in a crisply designed fashion with spiraled plates and polygon dishes. Looking around, I realized all the tables were littered with children games of all kindsincluding Mr. Potato Head, Connect Four, and Legos.  The chairs were a little uncomfortable with little padding for the bum and a stiff back with spiraled head rests and the service was quick and to the point, even a little standoffish and impersonal, but professional nonetheless.
We started our meal with a small appetizer of the restaurant’s take on an Asian nacho platter consisting of crisp won tons, grilled chicken, jack cheese, sesame peanut sauce, and wasabi sour cream, topped with daikon radish sprouts.  The flavors mingled distinctively in the mouth in a melody of exotic delirious flavors.  We were highly surprised and delighted.  My mother couldn’t stop picking at the plate even though all that remained were crumbs.
After the appetizer we ordered our entrees.  With an opener like the delicious Asian Nachos we had high expectations.  My mother ordered a nothing but a simple grilled cheese sandwich with ricotta, gruyere, cheddar, andfontina cheeses, smoked bacon, and a fresh organic local farm grown tomato all lightly toasted ciabatta bread.  I ordered the pan seared duck with ponzu glaze, stir-fried baby bok choy, duck confit spring roll, and sesame basmati rice cake topped with a lotus leaf potato chip. Yum! Yum! When our entrees arrived we could hardly sit still.  The presentation was amazingly elegant and fierce.  Every lovely morsel was devoured in an executive manner with napkins on lap. The whole time we ate we washed our king’s feast down with a nice bottle of Moon Mountain Reserve Cab’ 04.  After a little conversation on family and what movie to watch, I paid the bill totaling $101, not including tax and a$30 tip.  Overall, the prices were conservative for the whole experience; $8 for the nachos, $11 for the grilled cheese, and $22 for the duck.  The kicker and money maker was the $60 bottle of wine, although we felt it was well worth it to cleanse the pallet. “Z” was an absolute enchanting delight dining experience.
As we left “ Z Food and Drink” we decided to go see “The Social Network”, playing at Cinemagic in Hooksett, NH, located a short distance from The Space Center, an Arcadian gaming zone.  It was a Monday night and the parking lot was a desolate pavement wasteland of tire marks and florescent lines. We parked and made our way to the front doors.
As we entered Cinemagic, the outcome was pretty much the same as outside; vacant.  The main lobby was an empty shell of pinball/arcade games, fountain concessions, and life-size cardboard cutouts of various up and coming movie characters. Three teenaged youth were working the front counter concessions.  I bought our tickets along with a $5 cup of ice with very little water, and we proceeded to our preordained cinema in hopes of finding the best seats in the house.
The cinema’s stadium seating was completely

open for our pickings of any seat in the assembly.  Not wanting any neck strain nor sounds of a digitized projector right above our heads, we advanced to mid-row middle seats where we would be smack strait in front of the action; no looking down or up, our eyes straight forward on the projection screen.  After a few minutes of movie trivia and quizzes the lights darkened, curtains were drawn wider, previews played and the show was finally starting.
“The Social Network” is a movie loosely based on the global internet phenomenon Facebook and its creation and creators.  The movie mainly follows the footsteps of Mark Zuckerman, the founder/designer of this multimedia billion dollar conglomerate, depicting him as a lonely, self-loathing, arrogant, over-pompous computer hacking genius, but in a semi sugarcoated fashion.   It continues to show the dark gritty underbelly of an elite group of Harvard socialites/hackers and their determination to best each other out of the millions of dollars they each believe they deserve for Facebook’s conception.  The movie illustrates thecollege life of over-privileged, sex and drug driven idle youth coming to terms with their adolescence and how they were blinded by greed and power.
The movie’s director, David Fincher, well known for his dark conceptions like Fight Club and Seven, did an
impeccable job
in his interpretations of the events that took place in Facebook’s formation.  The cast and performances were enthralling and facetious.  “The Social Network” was a great example of the true American dream of ambitious cut-throat entrepreneurship, and the backbone and grit it takes to make such dreams happen.  I would have to give “The Social Network” 4 out of 4 golden sticky stars, if I had golden sticky stars to give.

Curtains draw, credits run, and overall it was an all-sstar night.

My SooN ta Be AFriCan AdVenTure

This another FB rant right before I got kicked off.  I have been planing fundraisers and everything for this trip.  Hope fully I’m able to raise enough money to go.  Anna one of the Coordinators for the trip has been really supportive in all my ideas.  Anna is a Darlin’ doll. I’m really glad she thought of this trip and is letting me handle some of the responsibility.  I know so many people in Manchester that own their own bars and businesses.  I wanna throw a masquerade benefit ball during Mardi Gras for this lil adventure, along with a few other things I have planed.

I didn’t get the Dominican Republic piece like I wanted. They were all booked up and someone else snagged the gig out from under me.  I got one I think is better they told me they wanted me to take the trip and write about this:

Namibia Missions - Arandis, Namibia, South Western Africa
Dates: Summer 2011
We have a new, exciting trip in the planning stages that involves a two-week service trip, teaching orphaned-children in the pre-school to elementary age, partnering with teachers to increase the skills and resources of Namibian teachers and using your specific skill sets to overall enhance the lives of children in Arandis, Namibia. You will also experience shopping in open markets and a real, live African Safari! This trip will require a strong commitment to attend meetings and perform fundraisers to see that it carries out. Further information will be displayed as we see this adventure unfolding.
Contact Anna Gdanian, Community Service Coordinator at agdanian@ccsnh.edu for more information.

I'm going to have ta arm myself to the teeth with toys and animal crackers for this one.  Maybe even pay off a Warlord and start my own Zulu Militia. All I need are my inoculation shots passport and a good lawyer on call, because I can see trouble. LMMFAO

I can’t wait to go to Africa and write my article.  I'm gonna need to load up on safari hats, loose polo shirts with the sleeves cut off, ray ban aviators, and cargo pants loaded with raw meat. Lol I’ll bring a sling shot, marbles, and train whistle to scare the fuck out of lions.  I’m stopping by the dollar store to load up on all kinds of toys for the orphan kiddos.  Need rubber gloves and hand sanitizer.  Baby wipes and a shit load of balloons.

A first aid kit, flare gun I hope they supply, candy not too much don’t want their teeth to fall out, vitamins & cartoon Band-Aids, puppets yes SIR puppets, and the rest is just my essentials.(books, notepads, camera, video recorder)

I'm gonna have to cancel a few things but whatever.

I just need to do a lot of things beforehand although it’s a long ways off. This isn’t just a trip it’s an expedition of the heart.  I can’t wait I’ll bring back a few things a mask I hope and as few others.  I’ll get you something Lisa don’t you worry.

I told ya I'm trying to be a decent member of society and you laughed at me. LOL And by decent member of society I mean a driving force in the worlds better influences.

I can’t wait to have a Baboon hand me over his teeth for a necklace.  I won’t hurt him.  I’m gonna use my mind bullets; along with a lil duct taped plastic knife, paper clip lasso, and golden monkey wrench.  That should intimidate him enough to get the job done.

This is gonna be fun. I can't wait to put a smile on those lil kiddo's faces.

The Silver Ghost Of Knows ? Where and My Chaotic Anthem

So one day I and my buddy Andy set out on a TRIP through ManchVegas.  Beforehand we drank ourselves a WITCHES brew of alcohol and psilocybin, loaded our gear for the task at hand, and set out on our way.

We walked down past the longest graveyard in Manchester on Brown Ave.  The brew hit quick so to keep myself in check I ran my fingers down the emerald green fence that circled the graveyards perimeter.  As I was doing this I came across a florescent pink plastic ribbon.  I stopped in my tracks and started to tear lil pieces form it, and placed those pieces in a spiral pattern in the palm of my hand.  Andy notice that I wasn’t following anymore, and came trotting back to see what I was up to.  I showed him what I made and he became a MAZE.  He was breathless.

“That looks like a florescent pink rose in the palm of your hand.” he said.

“Sure does.” I reply.

“How did you do that?”

“Don’t know, don’t care.  Looks a Maze ing though.”

“Sure does.  I’m spellbound.”

As soon as he said that I tossed the florescent pink rose in the air and its petals cascaded around us.

Our main destination was the Brown Ave train trussel, overlooking the Merrimack River.   That was one of our many stomping grounds.  That and a few other places around the Manchester area,  MT. Saint Mary’s being another one.

So we continued on our way dodging through traffic like we were in a game of Frogger.

By the time we reached our destination it was nearing twilight.  Fire flies were out dancing in the winds. We walked down to the other end of the train trussle tossing rocks in between the rails of the tracks causing sparks to flare up while the stones ricochet forward.   The SKYs were a deep red, orange, purple, and blue green.  That’s the funny thing about New England, we get some of the most beautiful colored SKYs , because of all the pollution it our troposphere. Other places around the world get this same effect but in America the jet stream flows from west to east, starting over near California/ Oregon and continuing down through the lower mid-west.  The jet stream then curves upward and  empties out over the Atlantic Ocean in New England.  During its journey it carries the rest of the pollution it has picked up from around the United States.

Anyways at the other end of the trussel there was a trail that leads down a beach along the river.  Along this beach was one of my most favorite trees.  I called it the setting tree.  Andy called it the sparing tree.  This tree came up out of the ground and forked.  One of the forks bent at a 90 degree angel parallel with the ground.  Other small tress grew right beside it making it easy to balance if needed.  Me and Andy would spare on it quite a bit.  Andy would always leave his boots on when we spared, he was afraid he might hurt himself.  I always spared with my shoes off because that way I could move quicker and climb the trees quicker.  Some people have told me I’m like a monkey I don’t climb trees I run up them.

Sorry I’m getting side tracked and on another tangent ,on with the story.  So Andy and I reach the setting tree and I toss him a bag and some papers to roll up a blunt. While he is doing that I’m rockin’ out on my bongo’s.  We sat there on the setting tree during high tided feet dangling in the water soaking in all the scenery to the rhythm of my war drums, when this man walks out from the woods.  Andy was startled by him but I just kept with the rhythm.

“I heard those drums from a long while ago.  You have some rhythm son.” He says.

I look over at him but couldn’t see his face.  The moon was out now and the silver glow off his bright white skin made it seem like he was just a blur.  He was bald and wearing these overalls.  I said, “Why thank you Sir.”, and continued with my rhythm while Andy passed me the blunt of  sweet green leaf.

“I use to come down here a long time ago to get away and smoke.  Mind if I join ya?  I got alittle of my own.” The silver man said.

“Sure, I don’t mind. As long as you don’t mind if I pay you no never mind.  I really don’t want to talk, but I do wanna hear what you have to say.  I’ll just keep whaling on these bongos of mine while we smoke.  I’m sure my buddy Andy here wouldn’t mind talking to you.  He has been quiet all night.  And like I said I aint much in the talking mood.  We took these shrooms earlier on this evening and now we are both in our own little world. “

“That’s fine by me.” The man said.

So now there were three of us on the setting tree smoking sweet green leaf.  Andy and I were smoking our blunt while the silver man in overalls was smoking out of a soapstone bowl he had brought with him.  I continued rockin’ out on my bongos, and Andy talked to the silver man while I listened in.

The silver man use to be a steel smith worker.  He worked on railroad and bridges.  He even helped build the BROWN AVE train trussle, the one we were setting under.  He went on about all kinds of stories from his past.  Nasty accidents he had seen to glorious achievements of his.  His stories were fun to listen to.  Every so often I would turn to look at his face and I couldn’t make out a single description it was just a silver white blur. After he was done smoking and telling his stories we all said our good byes.

“It was real nice meeting you two young bucks.” He said, “but I gots ta get going. You two take it easy. Oh and if you ever get the urge the view is lovely from the top of the trussle.”

“Thanks for the Tip SIR.  I’m sure gonna use it. It was nice to meet you as well.” I reply while still hammering away on my drums.

Andy chokes up a, “Yeah nice to meet you. Take it easy.”

So the silver man walked up the path through the woods back towards the train trussle and we never saw him again.

Andy and I stayed until we finished our blunt.  When I knew for sure the silver man was gone and out of sight I asked Andy, “So did you get a look at his face?  I couldn’t make it out under the glow of the moon.”

“No I didn’t” he replied a little shookin’ up.

“What do you mean NO!?!  He was setting right next to you.  You both had a 30 minute conversation about steel work.”

“I couldn’t make any of it out it was just a blur. I mean I can make your face out but his kept moving. Who was he!?! What was he?!?”

I smiled,” Calm down, Calm down.  You’re acting like you have just seen a ghost.”

“Stop picking on me, and pass me that blunt.  I need to calm down.”

We finished our blunt and I finished my anthem. We then went back up the trial and along the path I found a soap stone bowl on the rocks.  I never told Andy because I didn’t want to rattle his nerves any more than they already were which was easy to do.

“Before we leave Andy, I have one more Anthem to play.  If you don’t mind?” I ask.

“Sure go ahead.  I don’t mind.”

So I started to scale up the side of the trussle to get to the top to play my war drums.

“You didn’t say you were going to play it up there.  Are you crazy?!? We are all kinds of fucked up.  You’re gonna kill yourself up there.”

I yell down, “You’re all kinds of fucked up.  Me I’m just normal.”

I found a spot in the middle of a steel I beam, sat down Indian style, and started my rhythm up once more.  The man in silver was right.  It was a wonderful view.  It was quite the rush as well.  Being over 100 feet above the Merrimack River listening to its current smash along granite stones, gets the blood pumping. I was pounding hard on my drums.  I'm sure you could have heard them from a mile away carried in the wind.

Before I knew it Andy had climbed his way up as well.  I turned to say Hi when I noticed him crying.

“Why did you make me climb up here?  Why did you make me follow you?” he said with tears rolling down his face. “I didn’t want to do this.  I’m gonna die up here.”

I smile and say, “I did no such thing.  I didn’t ask you to follow me.  I never asked you to climb up here.  I never told you ta kill yourself. you did these things on your own free will.”

“Please Mike let’s get down from here.  I don’t wanna die.”

“Then don’t die.”

“Stop it with your silly riddles.  Stop playing your silly drums.  I just wanna go home now.  This isn’t fun anymore. Stop smiling so big you look crazy.”

I could see the FEAR had taken over him.  He had no control over himself.  If I didn’t stop he was gonna die.  He was gonna hurt himself.  So right then I stopped everything.  I stopped playing my silly drums. I stopped talking in riddles.  I stopped smiling.

“Ok Andy. You win.  Let’s get down from here and go home.”

“How do I get down from here?”

“The same way you got up silly.  Instead of forward do it backward and upside down.”  Ok I didn’t stop all the way with the riddle talk. =P “Plant your shoes flat with the steep diagonal beam squat on your butt a little and waddle your way back down with your hands gripping the sides. It’s almost like a slide, but you just don’t want to follow it all the way down.”

We both made it back down safely.  When we reached the bottom and were on solid ground I rolled another blunt to puff on to settle our nerves. We then started on our way back home across the train trussel, under the moon light, in a mist surrounded by fire flies.

HuRRicaNe OpAL And My RINGO's STaRs

When I was a lil boy living in Ozark, AL, I use ta go swimming at Lake Tholocco near Fort Rucker, where my father was stationed in the ARMY. I love ta swim. One day when me and my FAM, were swimming in the waters of the lake, and a man that was water skiing ran into a water moccasin nest and ended up dying.  It looked like an oil spill of snakes.

A while later HURRICAN OPAL came barreling through and washed the whole lake away. Leaving behind sand dunes, where kids would dirt bike and ladies would sunbathe topless.

OPAL left a lot of destruction in her path. I loved her refined chaos.  I walked around outside during her pandemonium and could smell the purification of the winds and water.  I could smell the sap of the freshly snapped pine trees.  Branches flew all around me in the darkness of the night.  Her rains washed me clean.

Two large trees almost fell on our house.  They remained up rooted leaning on two other trees a few feet from our back porch.  Large tree branches littered the neighborhood along with front doors, mail boxes, trash cans, and miscellaneous odds and ends.  Everyone in our community power was out for a few days.

After everything started to settle down from OPALS aftermath something drastic in my life happened.  I didn’t have any DREAM to prepare me for what was to come.

I was doing some yard work when our neighbors HUSKY Ringo darted through our yard chasing a cat.  I thought nothing of it.  Ringo was one of my good friends.  His owners abused and neglected him, and whenever he broke free he always came to see me. We played all the time.  I and he would go hunting in the haunted woods behind my house.  We went on many adventures together.  He was a miss understood grownup pup.

Anyways so he was darting back and forth through our back yard wanting so bad to catch this elusive feline.  I stopped and watched and chanted him on.  I knew he would never hurt her.  Maybe a lil, but nothing too bad.  That cat belonged to a WITCH that lived right next door.  I always hate this WITCH she was no good, her and the one across the street would always plot and scheme on me. When I would play I could always feel their eyes watching.  I could always feel their souls wanting to harm me.  Or maybe they just were afraid of me and didn’t want me to know.  But those two were always up to something.  That something I don’t know.

So I’m watching Ringo chase the cat and the cat darts off into the woods and Ringo follows.  I get back to work and I had a vision. The cat jumps between this fork in one of the trees that had fallen during HURRICAN OPAL.  Well Ringo of course tries to jump in between and that’s when the nasty deed happened.

I heard a yelp in the distance and that was it, a single high pitched yelp.  I ran into the woods screaming for Ringo and got no answer.  I knew he was hurt.  I knew he needed my help.  A few yards in across the creek I saw my buddy laying there on his side breathing heavily.  I could see death in his eyes, staring right back mocking me.  I ran and got my neighbor and my father.  I lead them to where Ringo lay breathing but motionless.  I told them what happened.  I told them what I saw.

Ringo's owner picks him up and I could feel a sharp pain in my back.  We all could see his spine was snapped like a twig.  He must have slipped jumping in between the forked tree, and SNAP. =(

Ringo's owners couldn't afford the VET bills and they didn’t care if they lost a dog. They could always get another, but I swear they would never get another dog like him.  Ringos owners were well for use of a better term vile in their ways.  Their children I loved they were my friends, but they themselves were horrid people.

So me, my father, and my neighbor got a few shovels and dug a hole.  I held back my tears because I didn’t want to cry in front of my father.  I didn’t want to cry in front of RINGO.  I could see the sorrow in his eyes while we buried him alive.  I could see his soul drifting off while we tossed dirt onto his still breathing body.  After it was all said and done my father and my nehibor went back to their business like nothing happened.  I acted like I was going back to do my yard work, and when they both were gone I went back to RINGOs grave and made my peace before I could do anything else.

P.S. The sadder thing about this is my neighbors got a pit bull a few weeks later. They treated him the same as RINGO.  It broke free and got lost in those haunted woods, and I found it dead and decayed when I was on one of my adventures.  =(

P.S.S. Lake Tholocco has filled back up again.

ThE StRawBerrY BaNdiT

This is a story I wrote a long time ago after I had this dream.  I hope you like it.

Buddha has been quoted to say “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present.”  In some aspects these may seem like a petty saying, but in others they can be very powerful words.  Life does have a balance to it within a certain space and time and you have to take the good with the bad. Instead of getting frustrated, mad, or sad when life throws you a wacky screwball, take a step back and focus on the present and you might see how extra ordinary or extraordinary life can be. That is when life’s complex puzzle will solve itself.
I found this to be true, in the most absurd way, one day standing in the middle of my strawberry and lima bean garden near twilight infuriated.  With a sling shot in my back pocket and a few quarter sized rocks in hand, I was in search for the infiltrator that had been pillaging my berries. There was a drought during the season and my garden was already suffering from dehydration and I didn’t have any berries to spare. I crossed the yard and up a small hill covered in autumn leaves, leading to a pumpkin patch.  That’s when the interloper darted across my past, an American red squirrel with its beady black eyes, bushy tail, and fuzzy white underbelly.  I caught him red handed with berry in tight grasp.  With the quick snap of a wrist I had sent a stone flying.  The shot whizzed past, breaking the silence, smashing a hole into a pumpkin gourd.  I ran after the rodent when my feet slipped out from underneath me causing me to fall backwards on my ass, knocking the breath out of me.
Blood started rushing to my face as I lay on my back watching the leaves cascade down creating a kaleidoscope of auburn, olive, and gold.  The sky broke through and I just remain still on the ground listening to an old spoon wind chime dance in the wind as big gray cumulus clouds float due east overhead.  The smell of campfire mixed with animal excrement permeated in the air.   I knew right then what I had slipped in.  I was now on a seek and destroy mission for this elusive marmot.  Not only have I caught it red handed with berry juice dripping from its mouth but I now had fecal matter smeared on my shoes and on my back.
I stood up and rushed over to the little green and orange gardening shed to get provisions to set a trap.  Time was of the essence. The moon will soon be out and being able to spot this beast would become nearly impossible without infrared spectacles.  I rummaged through the piles of old dusty junk for my pump action bb gun, flashlight, nylon net, and a few firecrackers to scare the hell out of the little shit.
My game plan was once I spotted this diabolical squirrel is that I would toss a few firecrackers around his perimeter centralizing his movement and stunning him with fear.  At that point I would toss the net over him tangling him up and giving me enough time to shoot him in the head with a high powered bb flying strait towards his temple.  This squirrel wasn’t any normal squirrel it had intellect like no other squirrel I have met in many years.
I walk back towards my garden ready for action while the dark cumulus clouds moved in faster overhead casting a dark gloom over an already dismal day.  I listened intensely for any kind of moment or sound of a twig snap or the brush shuffle that would give away the squirrels position.  That’s when I heard the loud hoot of a barn owl throwing me off guard.  At that second the interloper shifted position, and I had him in my sights.  The rodent was running towards the pumpkin gourd ,I smashed open , with a fresh berry in grasp.  I lit and tossed the fire crackers in a circle around the pumpkin gourd. With a loud crack and bang lightning ripped through the air smashing an old willow tree in the far corner of the yard setting it on fire.  Following the combustion of the tree the fire crackers went off tossing pumpkin guts and dirt into the air.  The squirrel stood staring at me with a rabid look of intimidation.  I had the drop on him and was lined up for the shot.
As I was about to go for the kill rain began to pour down from the sky causing me to lose focus of the task at hand.  The split second it would have taken me to pull the trigger was lost and the squirrel had made its getaway.  I threw my hands in the air and started to slowly walk back to the house in defeat.  As I stood on my back porch, dripping wet with shit smeared all over my back and side, I watched as the squirrel ran towards the willow tree.  I laughed at the thought of the tree being his home and then a sorrow swept over me.  That’s when with a loud screech the barn owl had swooped down from its perch snatching the squirrel from the ground and flew off into the stormy night, leaving behind a half-eaten strawberry.
The next morning I walked onto my back porch to smoke a cigarette and see the aftermath of the night before.  The sky was bright without a cloud in the sky.  Birds chirped their morning songs and the wind blew gently sending the smells of wet grass and the sounds of wind chimes mixing in the air.  The willow tree still stood scorched from the lightning storm and the pumpkin patch lay in ruins littered with exploded gourds.  There was no sign of any squirrel rummaging around the garden.  The strawberries and lima beans stood strong and quenched from the much needed rain.
I felt a sense of peace wash over me.  Things have worked themselves out in the end.  Although I was left with a mess of things to pick up afterward, I realized if I would have just been patient and thought with a clear head instead of anger. Things could have been different.  What was done was done with no aspect of any future, and maybe just maybe if I would have took a step back and grasped all the things that were happening around me.  The squirrel and I could have lived in peace with enough strawberries to feed both of us, but as for now I have a garden to tend to.

Funny thing after I had this dream and wrote this story, that summer I helped my mother plant a garden.  Shes doesn't have much of a green thumb, so I try to help her out as much as I can.  Plus I like working outside and planting her gardens.  Shes funny when she weeds the beds.  She sings all these crazy songs she makes up and laughs while digging in the mud.  It makes me happy to see her smile.
Anyways a week or two after I wrote this story slugs had got to my pumpkin patch and killed them all off.  I was able to save one baby watermelon that had some how found its way over to the pumpkins.  I was pissed I went inside grabbed an old  Folgers coffee can and a salt shaker and went on a CHARLIE BROWN melt down.  I must have liquefied over 100 slugs that day and they were still all over the place. After I was done I wanted so bad to throw the slug juice on somebody, but I didn't.  I controlled my self and emptied the can out near the swamp behind our house.  I figured that's were they came from so may be other slugs my get the warning and stay the fuck away.  They haven't been back sense.  They must have got my warning. :)
